Taittinger is one of the last great Champagne houses to have retained its independence and bear the name of its owners, a family whose passion and vision continue to guide the legacy of the brand.

Champagne Taittinger

Champagne Taittinger’s origins date back to 1734 when the original House was founded by Jacques Fourneaux. Since its inception, its aim has been the pursuit of excellence. Today it remains one of the few top Houses actively owned, and run, by the family named on the label and one of the few to own a significant number of vineyards, the second largest in the region, providing them with quality control from vine to bottle.

Many of its wines are matured in Taittinger’s extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage sites, 4th-century Roman cellars, where the cool, constant temperatures and natural humidity create the perfect environment for ageing. The result is a portfolio of Champagnes celebrated for their hallmark elegance, delicacy, and finesse.
