Glenapp Castle | A Stunning Scottish Gem...

A car is parked in front of a castle

The multi-award winning Glenapp Castle is, without doubt, a true hidden Scottish Gem. Known well to a select group of guests who return year after year to experience not only its stunning surrounds but perhaps most importantly it’s incredible hospitality. There is a sense of belonging; as the castle itself compliments its natural surroundings, the staff compliment the castle to ensure every guest feels at home.

Perfectly positioned in 36 acres of private glorious grounds on Scotland’s Ayrshire coast; Glenapp Castle boasts stunning forestry, manicured Italianate gardens and unfettered sea views across the Islands of Arran, the iconic Ailsa Craig, The Mull of Kintyre and on across the Irish Sea. More fairy-tale than castle, the baronial building is full of crenellated towers, battlements, turrets and spires. Beautiful Austrian hardwood panelling gives the interior of the castle a traditional but unstuffy ambience, refined but not over-bearing with sea and forest views from most of the rooms.

The newly opened Castle Penthouse Apartment perhaps is representative of the castle as a whole, with such a stunning property it would be easy for it to rest on its laurels however this is simply not the case. ‘The Endeavour’ which opened in May of this year, is possibly Scotland’s finest castle apartment, boasting four bedrooms, media room, separate library and games room, lounge and dining room catering for up to 16 guests, a beautiful period kitchen, sauna, treatment room and private access lift. There is also a spiral stone staircase giving access to the very top of the Castle with its historic turrets and crenellations. Spread over a very generous 420 square meters, the apartment is traditionally furnished but with all the modern luxuries of a 5 Star luxury hotel, the apartment is a true home from home.

As you would expect the dining is amongst the finest to be found anywhere in Scotland, with a significant emphasis on local produce and freshly caught seafood. With a number of restaurants and dining experiences to choose from, Glenapp will satisfy even the most discerning of palettes.

There is a reason that guests return so frequently, the hospitality and service is nothing short of perfect; attentive and intimate with a sincere desire to curate the finest guest experience which lives long in the memory. We have no doubt that once experienced, you will also return year after year.
