The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has introduced temporary restrictions on General and Business Aviation operations, resulting in the closure of select U.S. airports to non-scheduled flights. These measures, effective 10 November 2025 and continuing until further notice, are a result of the ongoing U.S. government shutdown and related staffing shortages.

The following airports are currently affected:

• Boston Logan (KBOS)

• Chicago O’Hare (KORD)

• Dallas Fort Worth (KDFW)

• Denver (KDEN)

• Houston Bush Intercontinental (KIAH)

• Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (KATL)

• New York JFK (KJFK)

• Los Angeles (KLAX)

• Newark (KEWR)

• Phoenix Sky Harbor (KPHX)

• Washington National (KDCA)

• Seattle-Tacoma (KSEA)

Exemptions remain in place for based aircraft, as well as for emergency, medical, law enforcement, and military operations.
