Poff 22 – Black Nights Film Festival in Talinn and Tartu
23 October 2018
Black Nights Film Festival (in Estonian as PÕFF – Pimedate Ööde Filmifestival) held from 16 November to 2 December 2018, presents a wide selection of world cinema.
The festival screens approximately 250 features and over 300 shorts and animations, and attracts the attendance of 80 000 people annually.
Black Nights Film Festival also holds specialised competitive sections, non-competitive sections, as well as sub-festivals for youth films, short films and animations.
For film buffs and fans of visual arts this is a wonderful festival. Not only can you soak up the atmosphere and see some original world class films, you can also take in the wonderful medieval city of Talinn.
With its original city walls still intact and cobbled streets throughout the old town, it is the perfect backdrop to your own adventure. Being on the Baltic Sea, Talinn has a coastline of promenades and sandy beaches. There are top class restaurants and some cool drinking establishments too.
